TEDxJMI is aimed towards bringing together diverse individuals, who are leaders, groundbreaking innovators, dynamic visionaries, educators, and most of all, eager learners. The objective is to enlighten, bring about a change in mindset and perspective, inspire, and stimulate positive action. It also provides a space for passionate young people to meet and foster new connections with like minded and spirited people in the community.
At TEDxJMI, speakers from various backgrounds share their stories, and experiences which becomes a source of inspiration for those who wish to follow. The anecdotes and speeches act as an impetus to reignite the curiosity that might have faded in today’s youth. This curiosity pushes them to ask questions and explore the many possibilities within and around them, filling them with hope and leading them to a path of growth. This also aligns perfectly with our theme: Chasing Horizons.
Knowledge is limitless — there's always more to be learnt. There's always another question, another why, another how. Humans have a perpetual itch that is curiosity, an innate desire to learn and push the boundaries of what is possible. And it is curiosity that has helped humans evolve into the advanced beings they are today, with their science and technology. It is our insatiable hunger for knowledge that made us ask all the questions that helped explore the farthest reaches of our understanding. And yet, there are still more questions; more to learn; more to explore — in the world outside and within us.
The concept of “chasing horizons” is the embodiment of this ceaseless pursuit of knowledge, the horizon is a representation of the vast expanse of the unknown beckoning us to come and discover it. The talks are aimed at igniting that spark of curiosity within us, leading us to ask, explore, and discover the endless possibilities for our growth.
